The Irene Smith Campaign here at Jordan Stream Missionary Baptist Church, (JSMBC), is established to assist minority or otherwise disadvantaged children infant to 14 years old.  Irene Smith was the founding first lady of our church and a pillar of our community who loved children and we dedicate this ministry to her.  We have committed our resources and efforts to introduce, nurture and support children in our church and area community.  Our Children’s Ministry is designed to equip with biblical and temporal tools to transform and encourage each participant academically, socially and spiritually.

 

    Jordan Stream Baptist Church is a rapidly growing church in the urban Cleveland area.  JSMBC Children’s Ministry affectionately known as “KIDZ FLOW” currently serves as the primary resource for children at JSMBC and in the community.

We write to ask you to support our children with a donation to our ministry campaign. Each year, our organization assists individuals in our community and without donation from individuals like you, this would not be possible. Donations help sustain our organization and benefit the community which we serve.  However, you may or may not be aware that funding for this grass root ministry is in desperate need of new equipment, curriculum, basic activity supplies and food.  The estimated cost to fund this entire ministry this year is estimated at $4,465.00.  Prior donations have been accepted and planned events are set in place to raise funds to carry out this ministry, but we need an additional $4,000.00 to be able to carry out the necessary work.

Our goal is to raise funds to so that the leaders can carry out these programs for the children while the congregation concentrates on other operating and maintenance issues.

 

    In addition to soliciting cash donation, we have planned a number of other fundraising events to help us reach our financial goals.  You can find out about these planned activities in our church bulletin.  Since we do understand that not everyone will be able to help us with a cash donation, we hope you will consider donating goods or volunteer hours for some of our events.
